Using of Technology to Manage Information

• Your supervisor has asked you for your advice. She isn’t sure the company’s information system needs elaborate safeguards because the company has only a simple home page. However, employees use email extensively to contact suppliers and customers. 
• • Make a list of threats, which may be vulnerable to the company’s information system.
  • Provide a comparative analysis of the types of safeguards would you suggest for the company’s information system.

When a company has a simple home page and it may not have safeguard therefore the company may experience different types of threats either via email, texts, breaking the firewalls, hacking the system, forwarding or sending the company’s information system.

It can be an insider threat within the company by an employee who currently works or have already worked and still have access to the company’s information system through logging the system and getting all the operational information system of the company to other company.

Hacking the system by the threat agents.

Disclosing the sensitive information by the threat agent either working within a company or off the company in a remote area.

Modifying unauthorized changes to the information system, asset of a company or misusing the identity of prominent profiles of a company.

Downloading spy, malware, Trojan viruses in the computer system of a company or sending dangerous viruses to information system of a company for its destroying and malfunctioning.

I would suggest a very strong safeguard for the information system of any companies to use the strongest security system, firewall, and strong password protections to avoid penetration of the internal and external threat and give very limited access to the users in the information system of a company based on the related description of an employee’ s duty.

Use special precautions and train the employees to be very cautious accessing the sensitive information or any protected or regular files when dealing with other employees or clients and have the strongest safeguarding.

Imagine you are the manager of a large sports arena. Determine the types of hardware and software that you would use to help manage the facility. Provide a rationale with your response.

If I were the manager of a large sport arena, I would use a sophisticated hardware system that would be able to provide for me and the police an instant report whether I am in the office or a way from the office to any other state.

I would use a very strong LAN server where I can connect all the information system of the company with that server with a very strong security system and also use a security system like ADT security system to send me instant pictures and information either through dispatch, security monitoring cameras, alarm system to specific systems in the company.

I would suggest to my IT department to install secured software for facilitating tickets and ordering or buying supplies and I would also provide a WAN server separate from my LAN server where the customers can purchase their tickets and reserve seats for them or their friends.
