"Leadership Effectiveness"  a discussion by M.Azim Ulfati
  • Determine which leadership style best describes the person you researched and how you could incorporate elements of that style into your current (or future) role at work.
The leader I selected is the founder and leader of SAIC. SAIC is a big International Corporation, which is dedicated to delivery of quality scientific and technical products and services contributing to the security and well being of community in the world.

This company had been successful by 35 years of Visionary leadership of it’s founder and leader, J. Robert Beyster, Ph.D., His commitment to employee ownership and his passion for entrepreneurship led him to establish the foundation for Enterprise Development and helps governments and private organization use entrepreneurial employee ownership as an effective social and economic strategy. He tried his best within the company to perpetually have superb customer service and employees having a real stake in their company, ethics, innovation, and technical competence. He started the company with a few dollars and a good idea in 1969 . Small offices, with rented desks and typewriters and people furiously started working nights and days in the sleepy village of LA Jolla, CA and eventually he increased the value of the company from few dollar to 11.1 billion USD. In some ways he mad the company to become a company of entrepreneurs. Not just one or two at the top but a company in which those who are motivated and capable can organize, manage, and assume the risks of different aspects of the company. In return the employees not only receive salary but they have the ownership of the company as well.

I would emulate his leadership and directions in order to approach to greatness, success, achievement and ownership within the company.
